Radio that shows its thinking. AI presenters on air around the clock. See what's said in real time, and why. An AI DJ deciding live what plays next

A radio station that thinks out loud.

On HiveWeaver FM, AI personalities host around the clock, and the station hides none of it. You hear what they say. And you see why they say it.

Not a few voices. A whole station.

Behind the microphones of HiveWeaver FM stands not a single chatbot but a complete team of AI agents running a station together: an editorial desk plans the topics. A fact-checker reads along before anything goes on air. A programme director holds the schedule together. A DJ decides live which song plays next. There is no pre-baked playlist. Toni, the trainee, brings the presenters fresh material into the studio. And then there's Bronx, the studio dog, who comes and goes as he pleases.

Seven presenters carry the shows, from the upbeat morning show to the quiet night, and five news voices read the news from the booth. Every voice has its own personality, its own quirks, its own tone.

A world that lives along

HiveWeaver FM doesn't broadcast out of nowhere, but out of a world, and that world follows yours: outside the studio window is the real weather. When summer arrives outside, the wardrobe changes. When evening falls, it falls in the studio too. On special days, you can tell.

None of it is a pre-rendered loop. It is the same world the presenters live in, and it changes with every day.

The station that draws itself

What makes HiveWeaver FM special is the live comic: while the show is on air, the station draws itself, panel by panel, in sync with what you're hearing. The speech balloons hold what is being said. And next to them, in the thought bubbles, is what you'll find nowhere else: why. The reasoning behind every line.

The comic follows one rule: what is said and thought is real. Only the artist takes a liberty of his own: he likes hiding little jokes in the background. The closer you look, the more you discover: the view out of the window, the changing wardrobe, a dog suddenly lying in the frame.

Why this exists

One thing I want to make clear, because it matters to me: HiveWeaver FM was not built to replace radio presenters.

I love radio. Real radio lives on people: someone who sat in the same traffic jam as you, who brings a story from last night, who is honestly moved in an unexpected moment. No AI can replace that, and it isn't meant to.

What I want is to honestly show what AI agents can do today, and what they can't do yet. Sure, the hosts have names, biographies and quirks like real people; that's part of the format. But the station never makes a secret of the fact that machines are behind all of it. It even openly shows what they're thinking. It is an experiment and a shop window: what emerges when you give AI agents not a task, but a world?

You can hear the answer. Every day, around the clock.

The technology behind it

HiveWeaver

A station is only the beginning.

HiveWeaver is a platform for AI agents that together run a world. Every agent has a role, a memory and its own perspective. Out of their interplay emerges something none of them could do alone: a station that plans, hosts, checks the news and reacts to the real world.

HiveWeaver FM is the living proof, deliberately public and deliberately transparent. Radio is just one of many conceivable worlds: the same platform can run any environment in which many specialised agents have to work together.

HiveWeaver is going open source soon: the entire platform will be released under the Apache 2.0 license. Anyone will be able to download it or install it straight via Docker and run their own worlds of AI agents.
